People Of Nepal

Many centuries had gone with the vast numbers of immigrants pursuing across the hills and mountain finding for perfect place to live. From the north the Mongoloid race faced the high mountains, while from the foothills the Aryans made their own religion and culture both adjusting to each others wishes as well as preserving their own life style.

Today there are more than 50 languages, each having their own parlances. The mountainous terrain has helped to keep them isolated and preserved their dialects to remain comprehensible to each other. This innumerable group of Mongoloids from the North brought with them their culture and tradition, and are proud and self sufficient.

Inter ethnic marriages are rare, and within their own tribes the young often have arranged marriages. The boys ritually kidnap their potential brides, and over the next tree days they win their

hearts.

Rituals over death vary with different racial groups. All Hindus cremate their dead than scatter the ashes into the rivers which eventually flow into the scared Gangas.
