Itinerary In Detail |
Days 01 :
Kathmandu to Paro
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu. |
Days 02 :
Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Drugyal Dzong. From here
the peak of Chomolhari also known as Mountain of the
Goddess " can be viewed clearly. On the way visit a
typical Bhutanese farmhouse. |
Days 03 :
Paro to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten reigned
from 1952-1972.Also visit National Library where
ancient manuscripts are preserved and Tashichho
Dzong the set of Royal Government. |
Days 04 :
Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest fortresses
in Bhutan built in 1629 A.D. Also visit the
woodcraft and painting school where tradition art
and crafts are still kept alive. Also visit the
Handicraft Emporium. |
Days 05 :
Thimphu to Shong Pang
After breakfast drive towards Dechencholing. From
here the trek starts towards Shong Pang. |
Days 06 :
Shong Pang to Dopshing Pang
The trek continues to Dopshing Pang crossing
Sinchula Pass. From here one can see Phajoding
Monastery. |
Days 07 :
Dopshing Pang to Chorten Ningpo
The trek to Chorten Ningpo goes through thick
forests, villages and rice fields. |
Days 08 :
Chorten Ningpo to Zomlingthang
The trek will be through several villages till you
reach to the vehicle. Then you will drive to Punakha,
which is the ancient capital of Bhutan. |
Days 09 :
Zomlingthang to Limukha
Drive to the Limukha. From there one can see a
wonderful view of Punakha valley and the Dzong and
also some snow mountains to the north. |
Days 10 :
Limukha to Chungsaka/Wangdiphodrang
The trek will be through the thick forest of oak
species and rhododendrons till you reach a pass
called Dochula. From Chungsaka one can look across
the valley to Samtengang on the ridge to the south.
Later drive to Wangdiphodrang. |
Days 11 :
Wangdiphodrang to Thimphu
After breakfast drive to Punakha Dzong .the Punakha
Dzong lies between two rivers known as Pochu and
Mochu which means male and female rivers. Continue
to drive down to Thimphu. |
Days 12 :
Thimphu to Paro Airport to Kathmandu Fly
After breakfast drive to Paro International Airport
and then fly back to Kathmandu. |
