Itinerary In Detail |
Days 01 :
Kathmandu to Paro
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu. |
Days 02 :
Paro Sightseeing and drive to Thimphu
After breakfast drive to Drugyel Dzong, from where
you can see the peak of Chomolhari. On the way back
visit typical Bhutanese farmhouse. Visit the
Ringpung Dzong built in 1645 A.D. Also visit
National Museum. In the evening drive to Thimphu. |
Days 03 :
Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast visit the Memorial Chorten, a huge
stupa built in 1952-1972. Visit the National
Library, Handicraft Emporium, Simtokha Dzong and
Tashichho Dzong. In the evening free of your own. |
Days 04 :
Thimphu to Gangtey
After breakfast drive to Gangtey .On the way halt
Dochula pass for the most spectacular view of the
eastern Himalayan ranges. Visit Punakha the former
capital of Bhutan. Visit the Gangtey part in the
evening. |
Days 05 :
Gangtey to Gogana
Start trek from Gangtey. The trial winds through
meadows and fields and the climb takes you through a
mixed forest of juniper, bamboo, magnolia and
rhododendron to Tselela pass. |
Days 06 :
Gogana to Khotokha
During the climb leads to Shobjula pass and the
descent from the pass leads to a wide valley,
surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges. |
Days 07 :
Khotokha to Chuzomsa
A short climb will lead you to Tashila pass and then
walk through an ever-changing, landscape into the
drainage of Dangchu River. |
Days 08 :
Chuzomsa to Paro
Drive to Paro. |
Days 09 :
Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Satsam Chorten and walk to
Taktsang Monastery. The Monastery is perched on a
rocky ledge with a sheer drop of nearly 400 meters
and overlooks the Paro Valley. |
Days 10 :
Paro to Kathmandu Fly
Drive to Paro International Airport and then fly
back to Kathmandu. |
