Itinerary In Detail |
Days 01 :
Kathmandu Paro Fly
Fly to Paro from Kathmandu. |
Days 02 :
Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Drugyal Dzong. From here
the peak of Chomolhari also known as Mountain of the
Goddess " can be viewed clearly. On the way visit a
typical Bhutanese farmhouse. |
Days 03 :
Paro to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. In the
afternoon visits the Memorial Chorten, dedicated to
the Late Third King. |
Days 04 :
Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to visit Tashichho Dzong. Also
visit the handicraft emporium where Bhutanese
textiles and other arts are displayed. Visit the
painting and woodcraft schools where traditional art
and painting are still kept alive. Visit the
Memorial Chorten, the National Library and Simtokha
Dzong. |
Days 05 :
Thimphu to Trongsa
After breakfast drive to Trongsa. The journey to
central Bhutan begins today. |
Days 06 :
Trongsa to Jakar (Bumthang)
Drive to Jakar (Bumthang). Bumthang is a land myth
and mystery and tales of the Guru Padmasambhava.
After that hike to visit Lame gompa, a temple built
by the first King of Bhutan. |
Days 07 :
Bumthang to Halt
Visit the dairy Farm, the Swiss Cheese Factory and
apple Juice factory. In the evening walk around the
Bumthang Valley. |
Days 08 :
Bumthang to Nganglhakhang
The trek enters the Ngang yul (Land of the Swan) at
the center of which lies the Nganglhakhang (Swan
temple). This temple was filled with Swan, hence the
name. |
Days 09 :
Nganglhakhang to Ugyenchholing
The trek starts with a gradual climb to Phepela
Pass, which is the highest point of the trek route.
The trial passes through beautiful forested areas
where many stop scan be made to enjoy the natural
beauty of the place. Enroute you can see the
Ugyenchholing Palace. |
Days 10 :
Ugyenchholing to Jakar
The route follows the Tang Chu another trout filled
river. On the bank is the Tang Rimpoche Lhakhang.
The trek will pass the Member Tsho (Flaming Lake). |
Days 11 :
Jakar to Trongsa
After breakfast drive to Trongsa along the east west
highway. In the evening scroll around Trongsa. |
Days 12 :
Trongsa to Thimphu
Drive back to Thimphu. |
Days 13 :
Thimphu to Paro to Kathmandu Fly
Drive to Paro International Airport and then fly
back to Kathmandu. |
